Sponsoring Third World Tweeters for Deeper Bible Study

So glad you are taking the time to read a bit and hopefully sponsor one of our students on DeepChat on twitter's #MKBiblechat. What is DeepChat? see http://www.MKDeepChat.blogspot.com.

On J Vernon McGee's Thru the Bible Radio program a few days ago, the moderator mentioned the huge  need and new ministry movement into Africa due to the problem that, as he put it, African Christianity tends to be "a mile wide and an inch deep". They are rapidly sharing their faith and Christianity is growing, but there is a lack of solid Bible teaching. We have a lot of African followers on twitter, and many responded wanting to participate in DeepChat, but unfortunately as a small ministry, at this time I simply don't have the funds to mail workbooks free.

We are asking our followers who may or may not have time to participate in DeepChat to sponsor one Third World student at $25 one time. If you choose to send $35 we can mail them a free Bible also, but that is just extra and not necessary.

No matter our circumstances, most of us in the Western world have been given so much materially compared to most of the world, it is our shame if we do not take every opportunity to share the gospel and good, sound Bible teaching with those in need.

The verse that always comes to my mind and is convicting is I John 3:16-18: "We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. "

Pray with me as we move into this wide open field of ministry. If you choose to sponsor someone, we will email you their name and twitter name so you can follow them and pray for them.

I am reminded of this great quote from the English pastor J Sidlow Baxter:

"Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons, but they are helpless against our prayers."

Frankly, your prayers are more powerful and efficacious than your gifts. God bless,
Mike of BibleMemCoins
